AGARTALA, July 26 (TIWN): Now people from outside the state also are tasting the butchered Democracy of Tripura under Biplab Deb Govt. A 23 member team of Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) which has arrived in Tripura to take a ground report on state politics has been kept under "House Arrest '' at Hotel Woodland Park in Agartala city. The team's house arrest had started yesterday since the report of Prashant Kishor's team's arrival had been published in various media. However, though it's an unexpected situation for the I-PAC team, in Tripura such incidents are very common where no one is allowed to speak, criticize the Govt and the opposition voices are constantly suppressed. From teachers to journalists, nobody is allowed to raise voice in this state and when Prashant Kishor's team has landed in state, Biplab Deb applied his "traditional" technique of misusing police machinery and kept the team locked inside the hotel from yesterday. Recently Trinamool activists were arrested after they launched a programme on Martyrs day, which was criticized by Mamata Banerjee herself. Today's team had targeted to make Trinamool Congress' base strong in Tripura.

A 23 member team of Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) have been detained Tripura's Hotel Woodland Park at Agartala, who were conducting a ground assessment for the the Trinamool Congress ahead of Tripura local body polls.

The Woodland Park Hotel manager not given any statement and also police did not comment anything before the media. Media is not allowed to go inside.

In the evening, the detained youths had tried to come out but police did not allow them to talk to media and kept them under House arrest.
