AGARTALA, July 22 (TIWN): Though BJP before the 2018 election had promised to regularize all temporary workers but the reality has resulted as termination for many.
On July 20, CPI-M backed Mid-day-meal workers union placed a deputation to the Chief Secretary via DM West demanding reappointment of Mid Day Meal workers.
While addressing media, Manika Datta Roy, CPI-M leader said that over 450 mid-day-meal workers were terminated in Tripura under the BJP Govt and they were never reappointed. They should be brought back to their jobs.
She also said that the allowance of the mid-day-meal workers are very less and also they are unpaid from March.
The party also has voiced against Govt's decision on privatizing mid-day-meal which will deprive the mid-day-meal workers and also the companies which were earlier selected will serve poor quality food if Govt again takes initiative of privatization under such companies.
'No privatization of mid-day-meal should happen.........', said CPI-M.
