AGARTALA July 15 (TIWN): Amid husband’s unbearable torture, wife rushed to Belonia Women's PS for filing case against husband.

The husband has been identified as Pinaki Tripura, resident of Chittamara Puran Bazar area under Belonia subdivision.

The victim housewife said that her husband comes home every day in an alcoholic state and burns her with cigarette butts, and poured hot oil on her several times.  After resolving their issues in the village arbitration meeting, no solution happened and finally a case was filed against the husband in the Belonia women's PS.

It is learned that 2.5 years ago, Pinaki Tripura got married with her following social norms. His dowry demand was also fulfilled during marriage but after their marriage the husband started torturing her by demanding dowry and the level of oppression increased after the birth of their daughter. 

Few days ago Pinaki Tripura allegedly kicked her out of the house along with their 10 months old daughter.  The housewife took shelter at her parental home with her daughter and seeing no way, now the housewife has filed a case against her husband and demanded exemplary punishment against him.
