AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): Tipra Motha party on Wednesday has announced plans to start block level committees' formation in capital city Agartala amid whispers in air that TIPRA Motha will fight in Assembly Election 2023. TIPRA Motha is a new party entered in Tripura politics with massive victory in the 2021 ADC Poll led by TIPRA Motha Chairman Pradyot Manikya, who is also Tripura's Royal family's head. Addressing the media, TIPRA Motha leaders said, "Our target is to form Block committees in Agartala city and then to form ward committees. We already have Block observers throughout the state and now moving to Agartala committee and block-wide committees also will be formed consequently. There will be an Agartala city committee, city advisory but that committee members' name will not be announced now. Today, we have got together to hold a meeting at primary level under the leadership of Maharaja Pradyot Manikya".

On being asked, what is the main purpose of TIPRA Motha, the leader said that TIPRA Motha's main target is Greater Tipraland. But overall in ADC, Non-ADC areas, Tiprasa people are deprived of many benefits. We will work on their overall development too".

Media asked about the upcoming Municipal Corporation poll and TIPRA Motha's vision with those polls. The leaders said, "Time will decide but we will not show negligence to any poll. We are hopeful that we will fight in the AMC poll but will not announce anything in advance".
