AGARTALA, July 11 (TIWN): On a pathetic note, a 3-year-old girl drowned in Howrah river on Sunday. The incident occurred at Rishi Para area of Pratapgarh.

Reportedly, the 3-year-old identified as Dipika Rishi das have drowned in water while playing on Sunday afternoon. Her home was on the bank of Howrah river and as the water level has increased in the monsoon it became very unsafe. On of her elder sister noticed her playing around the river side and she informed her family. After that the family couldn't find her anywhere.

They immediately informed the fire brigade and NDRF team. NDRF team rushed to the spot and started searching for her. However, her body still couldn't be recovered yet.
