AGARTALA, July 8 (TIWN): Amid much claims of the IPFT Party that MLA Brishketu Debbarma has not quitted the party and his resignation has not been accepted yet, today Brishketu Debbarma has joined Tipra Motha party in the presence of Tipra Motha chairman Pradyot Manikya. This development for Tipra Motha happened after IPFT and BJP lost the ADC election and Tipra Motha party gained a landslide victory. The crisis in IPFT started long after its ally BJP had started to reel under the crisis already. Brishketu Debbarma joining Tipra Motha has been considered as the beginning of Tipra Motha's step-in the 2023's Assembly Election preparation. Brishketu Debbarma is the MLA of Simna constituency and the Speaker of the Assembly has not accepted his resignation letter yet. Total 2,177 voters have joined Tipra Motha today along with Brishketu Debbarma.

After Brishketu Debbarma's formal resign, rattled by the first MLA's resignation from the Party, IPFT had called for urgent Central Committee meeting on July 4rth at Dasharath Deb Bhawan in Agartala.

Reacting over media reports on more MLAs' possible resigns, IPFT Minister Mebar Jamatia said that these reports are false and there is no chance that any other MLA can quit the party. He also added that MLA Brishketu Debbarma's resignation is not yet sure as the speaker has not accepted his resignation letter due to improper mode of submission of the resignation. "Except Brishketu Debbarma, no one will quit the party and even Brishketu Debbarma's quitting is also not sure totally and we are in touch with Brishketu Debbarma", the Minister claimed.

IPFT MLA Brishketu Debbarma had resigned on 29th June citing personal reason and on the next day TIPRA Motha Chief Pradyot Manikya had visited Brishketu Debbarma's house. Amid all these, Minister Mebar Jamatia claimed that IPFT's position is very strong amid major defeat of IPFT in the ADC Poll.

After 3.4 Years BJP and IPFT both are suffering due to heavy down in popularity and also failed Governance, unfulfilled Vision Document, Dictator regime of Biplab Deb along with his gaffes.

IPFT MLA Brishketu Debbarma's resignation has although shocked the IPFT leadership but in 2020, media reported how Brishketu Debbarma and some IPFT leaders had been resented over the Dictator regime of BJP where MLAs have no freedom to work independently. Brishketu Debbarma had resigned from the IPFT Party on June 28 evening. Reacting over his resignation, NC Debbarma, IPFT President has expressed his "shocks". The IPFT leader also has called a Central Committee meeting to take new decisions and to review the structure of the party. Brishketu Debbarma's resignation came out amid the majority of the BJP MLAs demanding replacement of Biplab Deb from CM post.

The resignation of the MLA happened amid IPFT leaders led by Minister Mebar Jamatia visited Delhi and met BJP leaders.

Today, N. C. Debbarma alleged to the media that Tipra Motha party is behind this turmoil inside the IPFT party referring to Tipra Motha chairman Pradyot Manikya's visit to Brishketu Debbarma's house along with other Tipra Motha leaders.

N. C. Debbarma added, "It will be cleared in coming days further whether any provocation is there behind Brishketu Debbarma's resignation".

Apart from political waves like "Biplab Hatao", BJP's failure to fulfill Vision Document promises, CM Biplab Deb's gaffes, 10323 teachers' issue, unemployment, misuse of power, violence in state are the chief reasons behind BJP's popularity-down.
