UDAIPUR, December 16 (TIWN): Chief Judicial Magistrate Biswajit Palit today sent a youth namely Ananda Jamatia to 2 days of jail custody and asked the police to reproduce the accused before the court again on 18th this month. Ananda Jamatia is involved in murdering a youth Ajit Jamatia of Kainata Bari area under Killa Police station. Police arrested him yesterday.
It is to be mentioned here that on 7/12/2014 when Ajit Jamatia was going to his home riding a bike along with his brother Sanjib Jamatia, they struck a little boy on the way. The big was a bit injured but not so seriously. But soon after the accident Ananda Jamatia along with a gang of youths started to beat Ajit and his brother Sanjib ruthlessly. Both the brothers were seriously injured. Meanwhile being informed by the local people Killa Police station recovered the two brothers and took them to the Gomati District Hospital. But as the condition of both the brother was critical , doctors referred them to G B Hospital of Agartala.
On the flowing day Ajit succumbed to his injuries but Sanjib survived. Naturally police registered a case of murder and ultimately arrested Ananda Jamatia yesterday from Killa. Today police appealed for 7 days of police remand but the Magistrate denied the plea. But the Magistrate also rejected Ananda's bail plea.
Reacting strong in this incident Magistrate Biswajit Palit asked the police to produce the Case Diary(CD) before the court on 18th December. Magistrate also said that more people were involved in that brutal incident and they too should be identified. And it is expected that now other accused to will be arrested and only after examining the CD Magistrate may grant Police'so plea for remand against Ananda .
