AGARTALA, June 28 (TIWN): CPI-M Party has condemned the brutal attacks that took place today morning in two separate places, where CPI-M party members were holding programmes against Fuel Price hikes. Total 60 to 70 bikers reportedly held the attack and after attacking in CM Biplab Deb's constituency Banamalipur's Dhaleswar area, the goons further attacked in another place near Ramthakur Pujar's Math area where the CPI-M workers were protesting against the same issue that is fuel prices' hikes. Condemning this incident, CPI-M has demanded strict punishment of the hooligans. CPI-M said that without Chief Minister's acknowledgement such attacks can not take place in his constituency. "When people are talking about self-defense then again BJP is engaged in negative propaganda which means, BJP will attack and people can not protect themselves. It can not be tolerated anymore", said a CPI-M leader at the West Dist office of the party.

Atleast 6 persons were injured in this incident and 3 were severely injured. One person Meghnath Saha (70), a retired teacher who was taken to GB hospital was referred to ILS hospital.
