His accusation came just because he predicted some youths had escaped by seeing him in the Police station and OC was allegedly asking them to escape. 

Now the point is, can the CM prove in Court that the youths were smugglers ? They might have escaped (if CM's claim is true) because Curfew is going on and amid Curfew, if CM sees them, he might ask for action against them.

But without any evidence such an accusation against an officer is nothing for him but yesterday a "high drama" played by the Chief Minister in front of media.

Biplab Deb has ordered an inquiry. However, he had ordered so many inquiries since became CM but the conclusion of those inquiries remained unknown to public. 

However, this is not the first time, earlier also in the same dramatic condition CM ordered suspension of officers with baseless allegations of corruption. 

Now, as a CM he has given various fake promises, his Dept has been under corruption. BJP party goons are attacking houses every night, injuring women, looting homes. In this situation, without any evidence, was it necessary to label an officer a drug smuggler, when BJP party's nexus with the smuggling empire is exposed in state various times ?
