AGARTALA, June 13 (TIWN): At this time when our state is reeling under the crisis of deadly coronavirus infection, a large section of youths of the state under the banner of 'Bandhur Naam Sudip' has formed groups in different districts and came forward to aid the COVID infected people in this crisis. Accordingly, the volunteers from Dharmanager distributed food items among the distressed families and people living in home isolation.
In addition to distributing food items among the COVID-positive patients, the volunteers are also arranging food among the nomads and pedestrians of the city. Besides, during this tough time, they also extended their support to the terminated 10323 teachers who are running out financially for being turned jobless by the present Govt. for over a year.
However, after losing their job, most of the teachers died due to lack of treatment. Several committed suicides over debt. Few of them started selling tea, vegetables on the streets to survive. And now amid the curfew imposed due to the pandemic, when the teachers are in a severe crisis, despite their repeated urges, the chief minister is still playing a blind role making it hard for them to survive.
