AGARTALA, June 12 (TIWN): Grocery store burnt into ashes late last night, the damage amount around 12 lakhs at Khowai Sonatala Bazaar.

It is learned that on Friday night, the residents of Sonatala Bazar area saw a blaze of fire in Mrinmoy Nandi’s grocery store, and were informed to Mrinmoy and the Fire Service. The fire service personnel rushed to the incident spot and brought the fire under control, but the shop items were burnt to ashes before the fire engine arrived.

However, the shop owner, Mrinmoy said the cause of devastating fire is not yet known, but the amount of damage caused by the fire is around 12 lakh rupees.

Police took a file and started investigating the cause of the fire.
