AGARTALA, June 11 (TIWN): Though Biplab Deb Govt has decided to put the market under some relaxations, but the ground reality is that businessmen and workers are unhappy over the continuous curfew as the Govt has not taken any step to help them. After almost 3 weeks, shops have been opened in Agartala for a limited time but while reactions of the businessmen were being taken, the response remained negative. An employee in a garment shop told TIWN, "For a long time curfew has been continuing in this capital city due curb corona but Govt did not think about us. When others are getting alternative help, we, the shop-workers, are without any relief. Though now the Govt is taking steps to open the business slowly but from morning shops are open without any customers. The Government only asks the owners to pay the workers but how will the owners manage when business is dull ?"

Yesterday, the State Govt had extended the curfew in six in Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and 5 more areas where Covid positivity rate is above 5%.

Curfew will be continuing till June 18.  Restriction on inter-district movement was lifted and shops and markets would remain open in restricted areas from 6 am till 2 pm during this period.
