AGARTALA, June 5 (TIWN): Police of Amtali PS recovered Rs 40,000 fake currencies from 2 youths at Belabar area last night around 2 am acting on tip off.

It is known that Amtali PS received secret information last night around 2 am about the fake currencies' stocks.

Based on this secret information, Police of Amtali PS raided Belabar area in civil dress and detained two youths.

Police recovered Rs 40,000 fake currencies from the two youths, and 20 notes of 2000 were seized from the arrested youths.

One of the arrested youth is residing at Rajeshwarinagar, Fultali and another one residing at Matingar. 

Police seized a bike registered No- TR07C5700.
