AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): Death toll of the 10323 teachers have hit 101 now but the State Govt has remained silent over the serious matter that led the 10323 teachers organization 'Joint Movement Committee' (JMC) to observe "Black Day ''. The "Black Day '' was observed on 100 deaths of the teachers but when the protest was going on, another death occurred at Bisramganj lifting the death toll to 101. Navin Debbarma of Bishramganj has died. Talking to media during the protest, JMC member Dalia Das said that Litan Nama, who became mentally ill after job-loss, died yesterday leaving his family behind. She said, "10323 teachers' families are reeling under extreme poverty as the financial condition of the families after job-losses has turned critical".

"Teachers' families are in a severe crisis and in addition, due to the Corona situation, everyone is helpless. These 100 families' responsibility has to be taken by the State Govt only and as the surviving teachers' situations are also the same, so the Govt must take initiative to recruit them..................", she said.

"We are not against unemployed youths. Tripura govt should recruit them in 50,000 posts and for us the already interviewed recruitment process in 13,000 posts should be resumed by cabinet decision. Please say 10323 teachers' families. How much will you prevent us from protesting with curfew rules ? Don't force us to come on the road again.......it will be better for us to die in police firing than to die at home", said Dalia Das.

101st Death Victim. #RIP
