AGARTALA, May 29 (TIWN): A couple from Hasan Hossain Para in Krishna Kishore Panchayat area of Bishalgarh block claimed that the BJP government had promised to build them a pucca house before the election but after coming into power, their promise was not fulfilled rather the couple was forced by the local leaders and some BJP activists to stand before a pucca house and took their photo.

The wife said, “My husband was not at home when a local BJP leader named, Hanif Mia and a few activists, one of them is Raju Shil, residing in our area, entered our house, falsely claiming to have come for the survey, and asked me to hold my ration card and stand before my neighbor’s building to take a picture. While I denied standing before that building they threatened me and out of fear I stood before my neighbor’s pucca house holding my ration card and they took the photo forcibly.”

“Till today we have received not a single help from this government, building a house is a long way off”, she asserted.
