Administrative Mask-Enforcement drive by Sadar DCM in Maharajganj Bazar

AGARTALA, May 27 (TIWN): “Corona curfew” has been started from today 5 AM throughout Tripura due to increasing Covid-19 cases. The cabinet on May 25 has decided to extend Covid Curfew up to 5th June in Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) areas and to start Corona Curfew in Tripura from today. Total 6 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours in Tripura but it has seen a major section of the public still roaming without masks, which has a high risk to increase Covid positive cases in the state. On Thursday Sadar DCM conducted Mask Enforcement drive at Maharajganj Bazar and imposed fines against those who were not wearing masks properly.

In this Covid-19 increasing cases a major section of people not obeying the Covid-19 protocols. Amid all such tough situations, the administration continues its attempts to keep the people aware about COVID. On the 1st day of Corona curfew Mask enforcement drive was carried out in Maharajganj Bazar under the leadership of Sadar DCM, Ashish Das. 

Sadar DCM, Ashish Das said those who are violating the rules and not wearing masks properly Rs 300 fine will be imposed, also said Rs 1000 will be imposed against the shopkeepers, those who are violating the social distancing protocols. Amid 2nd wave with high alerts, the public are not taking this COVID- 19 seriously, reportedly.
