AGARTALA, May 26 (TIWN): Former Minister, former MP, CPI-M leader Jitendra Choudhury on Wednesday has blamed the State and Central Govt both for the pathetic Covid situation in Tripura due to which Curfew had to be implemented. Jitendra Choudhury was addressing 'Black Day' which was organized by the Left farmers' unit in protest against Farm Law. Addressing the media, Choudhury said, "There is a national programme against Farm Law by the Left organizations throughout India which is a Black Law against the farmers, against the people, but due to Corona related restrictions, we decided not to organize any big programme in Tripura. In a gesture to support the movement of the farmers across the nation, we have organized this minimal programme. But for this Corona's critical situation of Tripura, both Modi Govt and the State Govt are responsible. In a totally unscientific manner and negligence, this Covid issue was dealt with from the beginning, which has resulted in today's horror".Â
Medicine cost should be carried out at free by the Govt and vaccination rate must be increased, he added.
