AGARTALA, May 15 (TIWN): While visiting Covid centres, CM Biplab Deb has requested people via media to hold patience for vaccine assuring that all will get vaccines. "We have already allocated funds from budget for vaccine and PM Modi also has assured about 2 crores vaccines and Tripura will also get vaccine from that. Till then, people should stay in homes as much as they can". On the other side, tension escalated as 36 children were tested Covid positive today. This is the first ever Covid attack in state Tripura among the kids. This report has generated tension, resentment and shocks among the people. West Tripura's 3 wards already have been lined under containment zones and 6 PM to 5 AM night curfew is continuing.

Tripura's Covid 19 cases are raising high everyday and deaths also are in constant report.

At the same vaccine crisis is generating resentment among the common men.

A crisis of corona vaccine is reported in Belonia sub-divisional hospital. With the Covid vaccination started for the age-group of 18+ the Covid vaccine crisis was reported at the Belonia Sub-Divisional Hospital.

Outrage has seen among vaccine recipients after standing in line for hours since 9am over shortage of vaccines.  Later the authority officially declared that due to shortage of vaccine it is not possible to vaccinate everyone, those who were waiting in a line for hours to get vaccinated.

Centering this issue, resentment has seen among vaccine recipients.  Various questions are being raised like -  If there is shortage of vaccines then why was the authority not informed earlier to the vaccine recipients?

And also if there is a shortage, then why are the authorities not giving tokens to the vaccine recipients for next vaccination?  Besides this, it was noticed no social distance was maintained among the vaccine recipients in Belonia Subdivisional hospital when they got angry after vaccine crisis was reported.
