AGARTALA, May 3 (TIWN): 'More than Mamata Banerjee's Victory, reason behind my happiness is BJP's massive Defeat in Bengal', said TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar in his Sunday live from USA. Reacting over BJP's heavy defeat in West Bengal election, TIWN Editor said, "BJP's corrupt ideology has totally failed in Bengal election whereas it grabbed some of the tainted MLAs before the Assembly poll and tried to break the Trinamool party. This ideology has fully failed and Trinamool has made a landslide victory. BJP's aim is not to win people's heart but with some JUMLA promises anyhow, it wants to come in power. Sarkar also expressed surprises over how after the poll result declaration, Mamata Banerjee was announced as defeated in Nandigram followed by server issues witnessed by all and no update was coming from Election Commission. "But overall TMC's achievement is excellent. Winning with 213 seats is a massive victory of Mamata Banerjee and defeat of Modi and Amit Shah. Tripura's bad situation under Biplab Deb is also a cause behind TMC's massive seat win.
"As you know, how under Biplab Deb Govt the terminated 10323 teachers were brutally beaten up, tortured. The 10323 teachers' suffering was propagated in Bengal poll hugely and those scenarios signaled people how with fake promise, the BJP came in power in Tripura but did not keep its promise. Moreover, it is noticeable where ever Biplab Deb goes for campaigning, BJP gets defeated there from Delhi to Kerala", added the Editor.
The Editor further mentioned about probable change of Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb though 'it's already late' and Assembly Election is left for few months.
Saumen Sarkar then took a dig at Biplab Deb's administration which slashed social pension of old people, withdrawal of free health services in Govt hospitals, unemployment along with fake data on employment.
Saumen Sarkar also mentioned about Left's massive fall in Tripura ADC and now in West Bengal due to wrong political decisions and senior leaders' unwillingness to leave chairs and to ruin the party.
