102 Ambulance allegedly refused to take paralyzed patient referred to GB Hospital

AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): The poor medical services in Tripura is highlighted again after 102 ambulance staff denied to ferry a paralyzed patient from Bishagarh Hospital to GB Hospital.

Ahmed, a resident of the Bishalgarh sub-division fell sick after getting COVID 19 vaccine on March 9. Today, after he became paralyzed, his family members took him to Bishalgarh hospital. Soon after the on-duty doctor referred him to GB hospital, Ahmed’s family members called 102 ambulances no. but shockingly, the staff allegedly refused to carry the patient as he did not require oxygen support.

The staff also said before the camera that they are instructed strictly by the authorities to follow these protocols and they will not take any patient who does not get bleeding or require oxygen support.

Bishalgarh hospital staff and locals of the area kicked up a hue on declining medical care in the state.
