AGARTALA, March 13 (TIWN): Tripura Education Minister Ratanlal Nath himself has accepted that only 2,944 regular jobs were given in the last 3 years by the BJP Govt in Tripura. BJP had promised about 50,000 Govt Jobs in the first one year and to regularize all contractual employees. It also promised to make the ad-hoc 10323 teachers permannt. However, a few months before, CM Biplab Deb had claimed that over 14,000 regular jobs were given.Minister Ratanlal Nath also revealed contractual job data but skipped thousands of contractual employees terminations, retirements and 10323 teachers retirements. Addressing the media, Ratanlal Nath said, "Total regular jobs happened 2,944, contractual jobs 2,250, outsourcing jobs 1,956, die-in-harness 401 and total 7,551 jobs have been given in the last 3 years". DYFI, TYF staged protest against BJP Govt's decision on outsourcing recruitment of employees under Govt sectors.

Ahead of the rally, addressing media, DYFI State Secretary Palash Bhowmik said, "BJP-IPFT Govt's decision about outsourcing recruitment is inhuman and to be massive injustice, exploitation. Govt must withdraw its decision. Under outsourcing recruitment, employees will have no job security, no service benefits. Govt must withdraw its decision. DYFI, TYF will form massive movements against it. BJP promised to regularize the employees and to recruit 50,000 Govt employees in 1 year but now the BJP Govt is performing just opposite of its promise. DYFI's protest will be expanding unless Govt scraps its decision".
