AGARTALA, Feb 26 (TIWN): Massive terminations have hit the expectations of contractual employees in Tripura. In Vision Document BJP promised to be regularized all contractual employees by BJP before Assembly Election 2018 but thousands are terminated instead of regularization. Reportedly, 92 contractual employees are working under the ATMA scheme in Agriculture Department, shall be discontinued from 1st April, 2021. Before coming into power BJP had promised about regularising all contractual employees in state. After consuming power BJP govt made U-turn which created resentment among contractual employees. Amid promises of regularizing jobs before the Assembly election, more than 92 contractual employees under the Agri department are in the way of losing their job.

Not only Agri department's earlier JICA project to health department many were terminated under various other contractual jobs. Many contractual job holders are getting retirement under BJP’s regime without being regularized.

Recently, a Doctor Sukanta Bhuiya has been terminated under NHM. In reason it was shown as "irregularity" in duties. It can be mentioned here that NHM, SSSA, RMSA and all other contractual employees of Tripura were assured to be regularized by the Biplab Deb led BJP State Govt about regularization, 7th Pay Commission immediately after assuming power. BJP before election had promised about regularization of all Govt employees who are in contract Jobs but so far no initiative has been taken to regularize them employees resulting massive frustration among the NHM, SSA, RMSA, Health and other Depts contractual employees.School teachers in Tripura, teaching in schools under erstwhile Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), now Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, alleged that they were being deprived of their rights by the state government. Resentments are high as the BJP leaders before the Assembly Election promised the SSA teachers about regularization
