AGARTALA, Feb 18 (TIWN): Illegal drug smuggling to other various illegal activities are at full wave in Tripura.

Earlier CM, Biplab Deb had claimed that Tripura is free from Drug smuggling and has successfully reduced drug smuggling in state. But, it has now been noticed that drug smugglers have created the empire of drug smuggling in Tripura.

An incident of drug trafficking has been noticed in Tripura, woman constable has been detained by West PS in connection with illegal drug smuggling on Thursday.

The arrested woman constable has been identified as Gayatri Das. However, Tripura Police did not reveal any statement about the incident.

The accused drug smuggler, women constable was taken to IGM hospital and then she will be produced before court.
