AGARTALA, Feb 4 (TIWN): During his West Bengal visit, former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has raised questions about the Missed Call jobs promise given by the BJP before Tripura bAssembly Election 2018 and what is the status of house to house jobs, 50,000 Govt jobs in 1-Year promise ? "Before election, lots of tall promises were given by the BJP to the people of Tripura, but now the Chief Minister is asking unemployed youths to open Paan-Shops, rear Chickens and Ducks. Rearing chickens and ducks are not bad professions but that was already existing from our Govt's time and we also could offer the same but the BJP said that lakhs of jobs will be given and funding will not be a matter on that time due to the double-engine's functioning which will be established by State and Central Govt both having a same party in both places''.
"All the promises given by the BJP were linked with personal benefits of the people. We raised the question on that time, how can jobs be given with missed-calls ? Now, CM Biplab Deb himself is saying that nobody will get jobs by running after the Govt, better unemployed should start tea, paan shops, rear hens and ducks...........these are also professions but what was the promised before election and what they are saying now, need to be verified", said Sarkar.
