Agartala, Dec 6 (TIWN): A delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), state committee met with the Union Minister of State (Home Affairs)- Kiren Rijiju at the State Guest House, here today. He arrived in the state to inaugurate a cargo loading station at Akhuara Integrated Check post (ICP) on Saturday.
According to the BJP state president- Sudhindra Dasgupta, no memorandum was submitted to the Union Minister but a few of the burning issues of Tripura were discussed in the short visit at State Guest house.
“We had a short discussion with Rijiju on various issues including multi-crore corruptions, crimes against women, Indo-Bangla border fencing”, Dasgupta said over telephone today. Though the Chief Minister of Tripura is trying to create a ‘clean image’ towards the country people but the present satiation of the state indicates that at such he is unclean, Dasgupta added.
Besides, BJP state secretaries- Sujit Banerjee, Tapas Majumder, spokesperson- Sushil Roy, state convener of BJP legal cell- Santanu Bhattacharjee, former state president- Manoj Debroy, divisional (Sepahijala, Gomati districts) secretary- Tapas Bhattacharjee including others were also part of the delegation.
