AGARTALA, Jan 4 (TIWN): The terminated 10323 teachers who are undergoing massive loan-burdens have once again sought relief from the burden as a teacher Uttam Tripura has passed away by committing suicide and many died earlier in the death row. Earlier also, the 10323 teachers met Gramin Bank authority requesting him to stop imposing loan-interests and today also, the teachers met the authority seeking relieves from constant pressures coming from the bank for loan recovery. EMIs. Talking to media, 10323 teacher Amulya Debbarma said that as teachers were given loans based on their jobs, how can the banks now pressure them for interests when they are already terminated ? "Earlier also in various times, we have requested the authority to stop charging the EMI and not to pressurize the guarantors but amid our requests also, the Bank authority has started to impose on us heavy interests and sending notices, harassing the guarantors. Govt has given us words to give us jobs and thus, till the jobs are given, our EMIs should not be charged. We took the loans as employees and once we become employee again, we will recover the loans".

"As you know that our teacher Uttam Tripura died in loan-burdens, we don't want any more teacher to die like this. Our jobs were gone because of Govt's fault and thus now Govt has to rectify its fault. Today teachers are unable to think what to do to save livelihoods. Govt must interfere in the matter as soon as possible", Amulya Debbarma said.
