AGARTALA, Dec 29 (TIWN): 33 months old, Tripura's BJP Govt under the brain two persons that are CM Biplab Deb and Law Minister Ratanlal Nath are not getting tired of their attempts to constantly engage in corruption, jobs via backdoor and deprivation to selected candidates amid massive criticism. Earlier Ratanlal Nath's Dept came under various controversy like TET examination question paper leakage, MBBS admission scam and Biplab Deb Depts' various scams like Cancer Drug purchasing, roadways construction without tenders and now before 4,000 recruitments in state, the cabinet has introduced a new clause in the policy to modify the Recruitment Rules, which was totally unnecessary and corruption provoking. "Cabinet has taken a new decision in Recruitment rules for Direct recruitment", announced by Law Minister Ratanlal Nath. As per his statement, the written tests' high marks are not enough but knowledge in state languages Bengali or Kokborok to be tested in viva tests.

He cited example that a person with low marks can get jobs, but with high marks also one can't get the job if knowledge in one of these two State Languages is not well.

Briefing media about the new clause introduced in the Recruitment Rules (RR), Ratanlal Nath said, "It is a very important decision taken by the Govt of Tripura which is as valuable as the Atma-Nirbhar-Tripura mission. There is a new policy in the Recruitment Rules / Service Rules. No Govt earlier had taken this decision. There is a provision in the recruitment rules about desirable knowledge in Bengali / Kokborok but it was never made mandatory for all Departments as it was not in the recruitment policy. Thus we have introduced the new rule that the "Desirable Qualification about knowledge of Bengali, Kokborok" will be tested during the interview and marks will be given on that".

However, the question raises after the decision, how and who will test the language knowledge of the candidates ? Why it is not in written test and why "viva" when Tripura historically experienced massive corruption in recruitment ?

Netizens have slammed State Govt for the decision.

It can be mentioned here that the BJP before election had promised to convert all examinations into written form but now such promises are no more discussed.

Already in contractual jobs under various Depts, including Sports Dept without interviews, handpicked people are given jobs in institutions like TCA which is not only deprivation to the unemployed youths but also leaves the future of the job-holder with uncertainty.

Already 10323 teachers' majority have opposed the viva test process alleging it will benefit the pro-Govt organization members of the terminated teachers.

Even BJP MLA Sudip Barman himself asked the State Govt via media not to keep any viva test provision in interviews as corruption chances remain in viva. But sidelining all criticisms, the Cabinet has just opened corruption doors by this new clause in the RR.

Noteworthy, BJP IT cell members have been given jobs at Secretariat by CM Biplab Deb whose work is to find anti-Govt news and propaganda against BJP from Secretariat. They are salaried with public taxes. Amid much corruptions, this new clause will help the corrupt group to spread its wings further.
