AGARTALA, Dec 21 (TIWN): Terminated 10323 teachers and their families are facing severe attacks across the state by ruling BJP patronized miscreants. In protest against increasing attacks on those families, the 10323 teachers have met SP West Manik Das today seeking security to their families. Talking to media, standing in front of the Police Headquarter, 10323 Teacher Bijoy Krishna Saha said, "We on behalf of the Joint Movement Committee of the 10323 teachers sought appointments from DGP and also SP West. Today, SP West has given us appointments. It is a surprise that on the one side, Chief Minister Biplab Deb is saying that protesting is one's democratic right but on the other side, miscreants are attacking the 10323 teachers families and their old parents".
"In many cases, the teachers were not present in homes but their old parents in front of their own children have been threatened, whereas the Home Ministry is also under CM Biplab Deb. We have requested the Police higher authority to give us security. Our protest will continue but we should not be attacked or harassed", Bijoy Krishna Saha said.
"Today is the 15 day of 10323 Teachers JMC's protest and the chief of the state had assured us that we can continue our protest but our families are attacked throughout the state from Badharghat, Dukli, Radhanagar, Dharmanagar, Jirania, Udaipur. Education Minister is also saying same that everyone has right to protest but today across state, 10323 teachers are afraid, insecure", said Dalia Das, a teacher among 10323 group.
