AGARTALA, Dec 20 (TIWN): No response has been given by Tripura BJP Govt to the agitating 10323 teachers amid the teachers protest has already marked 2nd week in a row. Amid extremely cold weather, the terminated teachers protest has although shook the whole state but it could not move the leaders who gave various fake promises before 2018 Election to the 10323 teachers about regularizing them. Terminated 10323 teachers' old parents have joined their protest on Day 13. While joining the programme the terminated 10323 teachers parents said that their children are politically victimized and now the Chief Minister is also unable to keep his own promise. The teachers who started their protest on December 7 have multiplied in numbers and today is the 14th day of their agitation. But, when the teachers are protesting for their rights, no Govt representative has met the teachers yet.

The current Government BJP as opposition in 2017-18 before Assembly Election had promised them to solve their legal problems by reforming a portion of the law only for them, but in reality now after 33 months of the Govt, the teachers are left jobless for 9 months.  10323 teachers lost their jobs first on May 7, 2014. However, terminated teachers have claimed that they were never terminated but the then Govt could not take proper step to save their jobs.

10323 teacher Amulya Debbarma said, "What can be expected from them ? Whenever any protest gets stronger, they label it as political protest. In 10323 JMC, various parties people are there from Congress, BJP, CPI-M and many more parties but teachers here protesting for their rights, not for any party. The Govt which is now in power has failed to keep its promise and thus saying all these. But, we will not leave the ground until the Govt fulfills its promise".
