AGARTALA, Dec 20 (TIWN): 10323 teachers have been continuing their protests for 2 weeks as the protest has completed 14 days in a row. On the evening of Day-13, in a strong speech by teacher Ajay Debbarma, the Left and the incumbent BJP Govt both have been criticized whereas Ajay Debbarma also asked, what happened to the promises of Regional parties which had given various assurances to the people before 2018 Assembly Election ? He mentioned, how various leaders not only promised the people about better days, but also shared many agitating dais before they came in power. He criticized the previous Left Govt for its failure to save 10323 teachers livelihoods and asked, why did not the Govt discuss with the petitioners by making a committee which was mentioned in the judgement of 10323 teachers' case's verdict given by the then Chief Justice Dipak Gupta ?

Ajay Debbarma further mentioned how Tripura's schools are being  affected due to teachers crisis. He slammed regional parties saying, 'What happened to your so called Jaati ? We also trusted you but now those assurances on your Jati is no more working'.

He condemned the role of few news channels which are propagating teachers as CPI-M's cadres. He asked them, where were they when Biplab Deb and Ratanlal Nath had joined in SSA's hunger strike in 2017 ?
