AGARTALA, Dec 18 (TIWN): 10,323 teachers alleged that they are facing severe attacks and threats by bike-gangs across Tripura.
Taking on media, sacked teacher Dalia Das said, “The Hon'ble Minister of Education said in a statement that we are getting ready to face interviews which is completely false and to prove that to our egoistic government, we have organized this mass signature campaign where people from different profession have participated”.
She also said that for the last 2-3 days, BJP hooligans are going to the terminated teachers’ home in various districts and threatening them in various ways so that no one comes to join this movement and by doing so Ratan Lal Nath claimed that the maximum number of people are not present in this protest.
Earlier on Dec 9, agitating teacher, Bhaskar Deb’s house was attacked by a bomb by miscreants at Ganghigram.
To recall, The termination of 10,323 teachers was turned into a significant political issue before the 2018 Assembly election by the ruthless Government of Biplab Kumar Deb who promised the sacked teachers that a permanent solution will be made for the teachers and if necessary, a new amendment will be brought to spare their jobs.
The question arises that who will now assume the liability for this stigma- the chief minister or the honorable minister of education.
