AGARTALA, Dec 17 (TIWN): Crucial decisions have been taken for the board examination candidates from this year by Govt of Tripura.
The decisions were taken by TBSE, sharing chair by Education Minister Ratanlal Nath. The reforms are :
1) In 2021 year students will be giving examinations under new syllabus. 30% of the syllabus has been reduced for the COVID-19 affects in studies,
2) Pass rate for Madhyamik students will be 33% including internal assessments. Earlier it was 30%.
3) For HS exams, in case of non-practical subjects (not science), the internal marks will be 20 instead of 10. Students have to get 33% in theory and practical subjects,
4) 2 sets of questions will be given for Madhyamik and 12 examinations : Set-A, Set-B,
5) In Madhyamik examination's Math subjects there will be two sets : 1) Basic Math and 2) Standard Math. However, the students who will chose basic set, s/he will not be allowed to study in Math for science but in case if s/he later wants to study in science, Math in future, s/he will be given option to sit in examination again with standard math paper but for that one year has to be waited,
6) Students can take a 6th subject which will be utilized if the student fails in one subject.
The examination will be held at around March 10, said Minister Ratanlal Nath.
