AGARTALA, Dec 17 (TIWN): Tension centering 10323 Teachers issue is being escalated in Tripura as one more teacher has passed away raising the death toll to 77. On 11th Day of protest by 10323 teachers 'Joint Movement Committee', it was announced that sacked teacher Ganesh Debnath has passed away. Justice for 10323 teachers unit in its social media has stated, "We have lost one more colleague Lt.Ganesh debnath. At this time of grief We pray for his departed soul and family members". The 10323 teachers Joint Movement Committee is agitating not only for their own jobs but also seeking a die-in-harness job for the families who have lost the main earner with the terminations of 10323. Earlier the teachers had posted banners that one more death of the victim teachers will not be tolerated by the 10323 teachers.

10323 teachers lost their jobs due to irregularities in the recruitment process by the then State Govt although, Court never commented on the merit of the teachers. After Court's order, BJP as opposition before 2018 election promised the teachers to solve their problems permanently and will change law to keep the teachers in their posts. But now after BJP although came in power but teachers are left jobless for last 9 months.

Today is the 11th day of protest by 10323 teachers who are protesting under open sky amid extreme cold weather.
