AGARTALA, Dec 13 (TIWN): SMC Chairman and ex-councilor Sajib Debnath alleged Mondal President Kuntal Debnath for creating pressure on School Management Committee to seize money from school students illegally.

According to Sajib, Kuntal chose the members for SMC in December 2019, a few months after Biplab Deb grabbed the chair. Within a day after creating the committee, Kuntal called a meeting with all the members of SMC and established a firm dictatorship. Kuntal asked the committee to collect 5 lakh rupees from students illegally for himself. When the committee denied doing such involuntary activities, Kuntal threatened the member saying that he is close to Biplab Deb, MP Pratima Bhowmik, and State General Secretary Papiya Dutta. The committee had hard options to choose so they agreed to what Kuntal said and handed over the amount to him. After a couple of days, a video went viral which accused Sajib of collecting money illegally from students but the public hardly knew what was going inside the committee. 

When the news got published on several TV channels, Kuntal and Sajib were called into a meeting by a reputed party leader and asked him to resign from his post. When Sajib denied resigning from his post, he got threatened by that Brutus party leader. 

 Sajib added that he joined BJP in 1995 and played a great role to form the organization in their area, whereas Kuntal joined the party after BJP won the election in 2018. Kuntal also never misses any chance to threaten people saying that he is very close to Biplab, Pratima, and Paiya.

Sajib ended his video clip saying that those who have created the organization have no value today, there is only notoriety and he believes that such insurgencies will end soon.
