AGARTALA, Dec 11 (TIWN): BJP MLA Sushanta Chowdhury has blasted the propaganda of Chief Minister Biplab Deb's camp who have started calling rebel MLAs as "Congi", asked, could the BJP win the 2018 Assembly Election without the Congress's vote banks who helped BJP to come to power by unseating the Communist Party ? "It is funny that even the people who have joined BJP from the CPI-M Party are now teaching us about BJP's ideology. They ask us, why in last 25 years, Congress could not unseat the Communist. My question, why did the BJP could not unseat the Communist ? Why was BJP"s votebank only 1.5% ? Congress still had 47% vote banks but BJP had only 1.5%", said Sushanta Chowdhury. MLA Sushanta Chowdhury gave the statement while addressing in a local media 'Public Now'. Taking a dig at CM Biplab Deb's cancelled plan where he decided to take public mandate by calling a rally in Astabal stadium on 13th December, Sushanta Chowdhury said, "How could the CM testify public mandate in a small field where hardly 20,000 to 30,000 people can gather" ?

"Moreover, if those 20,000 people give him support, he can not hold the position unless his MLAs support him. Ultimately MLAs  make a CM just like MPs make a PM", Chowdhury added. 

This statement came amid BJP's massive infighting and Biplab Deb's hyper-egoistic politics against maximum MLAs starting from sacking of Sudip Roy Barman from Health Ministry back in 2019 to conducting programme in BJP MLA's constituency at Bordowali without informing the local MLA. 

Recently 14 MLAs have boycotted CM Biplab Deb's home meeting and 6 out of rest 21 MLAs were forced / convinced to go there. BJP's ally IPFT chief, Minister NC Debbarma also has raised voice against CM Biplab Deb's immature political decisions. All these, have kept Biplab Deb's CM chair at high risk.
