AGARTALA, Dec 10 (TIWN): Opposition Congress and BJP's political ally IPFT have called CM Biplab Deb's decision on Astabal rally on 13th December as "Immature" and "Undemocratic".

Major opposition party CPI-M has however said that it is a pre-designed "political-drama" of the BJP to move public attention from real issues.

Tripura Congress President Pijush Biswas said that Biplab Deb's Astabal stadium rally is unconstitutional and illogical. Reacting to CM Biplab Deb's announcement on Astabal rally, Pijush Biswas said that Astabal field is a small field where highest 50,000 people can be gathered without space but how can he claim that this rally will decide 37 lakh people's mandate ?

He added, "If he has courage, then go for a Floor Test or resign from MLA post and Reconduct election. I firmly believe he will lose. Indeed, BJP itself as a whole will be defeated". This statement came after CM Biplab Deb had announced about a rally on December 13 to testify public support for him aftermath "Biplab Hatao" protest staged before BJP new Incharge Vinod Sonkar on 6th October. Majority of the BJP MLAs want Biplab Deb's replacement as a Chief Minister.

IPFT President NC Debbarma pointed that in a Secretariat decided Govt programme, party problems should not be stretched because that's how the Administration is misused and manipulated. NC Debbarma also commented that it is unconstitutional because the Astabal stadium programme will be a Govt programme and how party's trust on a political leader can be testified in such a Govt programme ?

"This declaration was made might be out of emotion but such decisions are not welcomed and I personally believe should not happen. BJP must solve its problems in the Party office but Govt can not be disturbed due to that. It is unconstitutional", said Debbarma.
