Ambasa, Dec 10 (TIWN): Suspected NLFT militant group of Bishwa Mohan Group who reportedly has a camp in Khagrachari, Chittagong area in Bangladesh is under the rudder of Tripura Police.
At around 10 am on Monday, three workers were abducted from Malda Para, the Indo-Bangla border area. Centering this abduction incident Border guards and police patrols have been stepped up in Malda Para. Meanwhile, within 24 hours of the abduction, police have achieved a great success by nabbing 3 suspected persons behind the incident.
It can be pointed that militant Baishya Joy Tripura surrendered and informed that a team of 10 NLFT Bishwa Mohan Group militants from Bangladesh crossed the Malda Para border and entered India in collaboration with the militant source. There militants were sheltered in the homes of Pathan Mohan Tripura and Jatindra Tripura, who stayed at their homes for several days. Yesterday, police arrested the three in connection with abduction case, after receiving the news.
Additional Superintendent of Police Kallol Roy said that the three arrested persons cooperated from the beginning to the end of the abduction case. The arrested three were handed over to the investigating officer Kapil Pal of Dhalai District by seeking five-days police remand but the court granted three-days police remand.
Sources said the militants had come from Malda Para to abduct two workers but based on the current situation, local resident worker Guna Mohan Tripura was abducted. On the other hand, the people of Malda are now in a state of panic. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen that what new information can be collected from the three, connected to this kidnapped case who have been remanded for three days.
