AGARTALA, Dec 6 (TIWN): Tripura BJP's massive infighting once again exposed in public as majority MLAs skipped newly appointed 'Prabhari' Vinod Kumar Sonkar, 24 of them out of 36 MLAs boycotted programme at Rabindra Bhavan on Saturday. Even Minister Ratan Lal was seen sitting on 3rd row. BJP heavyweights from Sudip Barman, Aashis Saha, Ram Prasad Pal all avoided Biplab's programme. Although, Biplab Deb's group and supporters occupied and almost gheraoed all the time the Incharge of the BJP so that no negative report against Deb goes to the Centre but when a programme was called for the all leaders and front line activists in the Rabindra Bhawan, they totally rejected to attend the programme and out of 36 only 12 MLAs attended the programme. 24 MLAs and senior, founding BJP leaders have chosen to stay away from the meeting, signaling a "No Trust Motion" against Chief Minister Biplab Deb to be introduced soon in the upcoming Assembly Session. In 33 months, party has lost faith on the leadership of Biplab Deb as a CM due to Biplab Deb's 'dictator' style of ruling and managing the party, added by his nonstop MEMEs, spoiling reputation of the BJP Party in state. On 31st October, 18 MLAs held meeting in MLA Ram Prasad Pal's house including Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarman which was dedicated in Biplab-Hatao mission.Â
However, although Jishnu Debbarman was seen on yesterday's programme at Rabindra Bhawan, 24 MLAs, including Ministers have not attended the meeting.
Biplab Deb reportedly organized a dinner party in his residence for the new Incharge Vinod Kumar Sonkar and attempted to convince him that the other MLAs who are against Biplab Deb are trying to create division for their own interests but in reality 24 MLAs, out of 36 rejected to attend Rabindra Bhawan programme as CM Biplab Deb was sharing the dais.
