AGARTALA, Nov 26 (TIWN): Reliance Foundation has forwarded supports to the farmers in Tripura.
Engaged in agriculture and labor, the villagers in Gomati District were looking for cattle and poultry rearing for additional avenues to improve their livelihood.
With the technical support from the Department of Animal Resource Development, Govt. of Tripura, Reliance Foundation in collaboration with the Bagma Agri Producer Company Ltd. (FPO) organized two Livestock Camps by eminent veterinarians on 23 and 24 November 2020 at Jalema village under Killa Block and East Kupilong village under Tepania Block were around 75 livestock farmers were present and got the treatment of their animals with medicine free from Reliance Foundation.
The animals were examined by Dr. Tapas Kanti Paul (Veterinarian Officer, Kakraban Block under Gomati District) and assisted by Debayan Das, Programme Support of Reliance Foundation.
Apart from free treatment and medicinal support, the farmers were also advised to do routine deworming and vaccination along with the feeding of the supplemental mineral-vitamin mixture to improve their body nutrient status and overall health of the animals.
