AGARTALA, Nov 13 (TIWN): Unemployment at massive spike, job-losses at high, daily workers left in starvation and hunger but Tripura Govt still has managed to get 12% extra revenues.
From entries fees in Govt fairs to removal of free medical services, Rs. 200 water tax which was at Rs. 30 before BJP Govt etc all these have helped the govt to earn hefty revenues.
When economy is at down, massive terminations are going on, CM Biplab Deb claimed that huge revenue has been generated, clearly exposing the brutal taxing on people from fuel to car insurance and trade license charge hikes. Biplab Deb after sacking Sudip Barman from Health Ministry took the charge of the Health Dept and snatched Free Medical Services from Govt hospitals. Among all those charges, Rs. 50 has been imposed on Oxygen supplies per hour which had escalated much protests in state but the charges are continuing.
