AMBASSA, Nov 13 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Friday has said that Tripura Govt is initiating a 'Smriti Bon' (Forest of Memory) in Tripura where in the name of dead persons trees will be planted through which they will be giving oxygen to the State. The Chief Minister's statement came in his Ambassa speech today amid massive deforestation in state under his Govt. Deb said, as that forest will be in dead people's name no thief will come to loot those trees. CM in his Ambassa speech has also disclosed various negatives sides of the Govt unknowingly, like he said that BJP Govt has increased revenue at 12%. However, when economy is at down, massive terminations are going on, CM Biplab Deb claimed that huge revenue has been generated, clearly exposing the brutal taxing on people from fuel to car insurance and trade license charge hikes. Biplab Deb after sacking Sudip Barman from Health Ministry took the charge of the Health Dept and snatched Free Medical Services from Govt hospitals.
Among all those charges, Rs. 50 has been imposed on Oxygen supplies per hour which had escalated much protests in state but the charges are continuing.
Along with Oxygen charges, now free dialysis medicines which are funded by Centre, is also at halt for last 8 months. For patients, the BJP Govt has imposed minimum fee in Govt hospitals. In this situation, his so called 'Smriti Bon' will however may help the Govt to do something after deaths of people.
