AGARTALA, Oct 8 (TIWN): In a strongly worded statement, TIWN Editor condemned BJP leaders frequent misuse of Swami Vivekananda, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Sardar Patel names, pictures for scoring narrow political benefits. CM Biplab Deb on Wednesday said “ “If Swami Vivekananda’s picture is put up in Tripura’s 80% houses, then BJP will be in power for next 30 to 35 yrs”. TIWN Editor asked Biplab Deb to read Swami Vivekananda books, learn Swamiji’s ideologies, also how Swami Vivekananda was strongly against fanatic organizations like Hindu Mahasabha and its offspring RSS. “Being a former student of Ramkrishna Mission, then my close association with Belur Math since childhood, I would ask BJP, RSS to read the following:

1. Stop misusing Swami Vivekananda, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Sardar Patel names for political propaganda. All three were strongly against communal agendas, they were against Hindu Mahasabha/RSS, they envisioned secular India living in harmony.

2. Swami Vivekananda strongly raised voice against ‘Hindu Mahasabha’, their communal agenda, misuse of Hindu religion by fanatics, denounced ideologies like Hindu Mahasabha & its offspring RSS.

3. BJP & RSS ideological icon Savarkar merged his own youth organisation Tarun Hindu Sabha with the RSS and helped its expansion. V. D. Savarkar, after his release in 1937, joined them in spreading the RSS and giving speeches in its support. RSS functioned as the "volunteer organisation of the Hindu Mahasabha." 
Swami Vivekananda, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Sardar Patel were always against communal fanatics, their narrow politics.

4. BJP & RSS communal politics is exactly opposite of what Swami Vivekananda preached all his life.

5. Read Swami Vivekananda, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose books, their literature, you will find that, their ideologies were exactly opposite of BJP/RSS Gowalkar/Savarkar communal agenda.

6. RSS / Savarkar were bootlickers of British during pre-1947 era, plenty of literature & proofs exist, it’s a fact that RSS was against Indian Freedom struggle & Freedom fighters, it was acting as British spy. In other words, it was an anti-national organization.

Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated on 30 January 1948 in the compound of Birla House (now Gandhi Smriti), a large mansion in New Delhi.
