AGARTALA, Sep 26 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb's God-Father Ram Madhav is removed from BJP National General Secretary post.

Ram Madhav as the General Secretary caused severe losses to State BJP's image by his blind supports to Biplab Deb's wrongdoings and allegedly himself was involved in wrongdoings.  But under Biplab Deb and Ram Madhav BJP's popularity is now damaged beyond repair. 

Sources said, from disappearance of Tripura BJP's top leaders like Sunil Deodhar from Tripura to popular figures like Sudip Barman's  removal from Cabinet amid carrying a successful Health Ministry it was Ram Madhav's help who supported Biplab Deb. 

Also, Madhav was a bridge of corruption between Delhi to Tripura, which was alleged through various sources.

Recently, Ram Madhav also had deleted his tweet about SFF soldier's funeral, which also turned a big controversy. In case of Tripura also, after Lenin's statue bulldozing, he gave a controversial statement in tweet but later deleted.

In a major reshuffle in the ranks within the BJP, the party on Saturday dropped few names from some posts as it announced a new team of party’s national office-bearers which has an element of continuity as well as change. The list of eight general secretaries, crucial organisation position in the party as they are the link between state and central leadership, has five new faces with Bhupender Yadav, Arun Singh and Kailash Vijayvargiya being retained. 

 Ram Madhav, P Muralidhar Rao, Saroj Pandey and Anil Jain have been replaced with new faces.

Dushyant Kumar Gautam, D Purandareshwaei, C T Ravi, Tarun Chugh and Dilip Saikia are new choices as general secretaries. 

Party MP Tejasvi Surya, a fiery speaker, has been made the president of the party’s youth wing in place of Poonam Mahajan.
