AGARTALA, Sep 21 (TIWN): BJP leaders and activists' rude and disrespectful behaviour and verbal attacks towards IAS, IPS officers to other dignitaries continue. Day after Chief Minister Biplab Deb called Police employees appointed under State Govt before 2018 are from Communist families, on Monday BJP activists erupted a situation of tension in Udaipur, gheraoed the RK Pur police Station in protest against Gomati SP, Lucky Chauhan for taking action against unlawful activities of BJP activists who were forcing the shopkeepers to open shop in New Town market of Udaipur.
Tripura Pradesh Congress's 12 hours strike on Monday has been observed Statewide. Like other places of the State, Udaipur market was paralyzed since morning. And in few cases when the BJP activists tried to erupt fight, they had been controlled by police force. While SP Gomati spotted few BJP activists forcing the shopkeepers to open their shops in Udaipur's Newtown market, she ordered to stop and if necessary to detain them immediately.
To protest this step taken by SP, BJP activists severely criticized her, should disrespectful words to describe her action. BJP Yuba Morcha members called her Congress's "Dalal" infront of media and gheraoed RK Pur PS. They also said that the Tourism Minister Pranajit Singha Roy who's also the local MLA of Udaipur RK Pur constituency of Udaipur, knows about it and with his permission they have taken this step.
In other places also, few minor violence by BJP activists had been reported across the State including Capital Agartala. However, with the proper and immediate action of Tripura Police and CRPF jawans the situation came under control.
The IPS officer is not only an honest officer, but was seen working 24X7 to control the COVID-spread in her District as the SP.
