AGARTALA, Sep 21 (TIWN): Tripura Congress President Pijush Biswas has thanked the public for their full support to Congress called 12 hours strike. Addressing media, the Congress President said, "Public have proven that this strike is for public and it is beyond politics". Congress has called the strike in voice against attacks on opposition, common men, COVID mismanagement, economic falls, 10323 teachers issue, unemployment etc. Pijush Biswas also has commented that across Tripura public supports have resulted beyond expectation. Although BMS led massive anti-strike propaganda was done from yesterday but shops and vehicle movements remained paralyzed in the capital city Agartala from early morning. Shops across the city remained close, although BJP started rallies voicing against strike. On the other side, Congress has launched protests raising voice against wrongdoings of the BJP Govt, stopped by police in various places. Tussle between police, activists were reported at minor level but SP West Manik Das has informed media that the situation is fully under control and no untoward incident has taken place.

Congress President Pijush Biswas also said that Strike went successful without violence yet and overall the strike got a massive success for the Congress party today in Tripura. He said, Congress activists were asked by Party not to react against BJP's attempts of violence instigation.
