AGARTALA, Sep 15 (TIWN): As the National media houses strongly condemned Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb's "Won't forgive" remark on journalists and a section of state-journalists were about to knock the Court as he did apologized, now Deb cane with his 'Rajdharma' theory. On Tuesday CM Biplab Deb claimed that he made that statement as a part of performing his duty which he termed as "Raj Dharma".
"If a section of people is trying to manipulate the will of Tripura's common people, why should I forgive them? It was a part of my Rajdharma to maintain the strong will power of people and I was doing that only," said the CM.
He also added, "If anyone got offend by my words he should think by standing in my position. And every CM of the Country should perform like this with courage."
The issue erupted after CM on 11th September in a program said that he will never forgive the journalists who are writing over excitedly about Covid situation and confusing people, history will never forgive them. A day after this statement, journalists across the state who condemned his words faced severe attacks from the party activists. This made Biplab Deb viral again in national platform. Media houses and journalists from every corner of the country started condemning his statement and questioned on democracy under his regime.
However, no written or direct apology has been done by CM so far.
