AGARTALA, Sep 14 (TIWN): Lambasting the BJP Govt over its failure to keep its pre-poll promise to 10323 terminated teachers yet, Tripura Congress senior leader Gopal Roy has reminded BJP Govt about its exact words typed in the "Vision Document" which assured a "permanent solution" to the teachers' livelihood.

Addressing on Monday, Roy has questioned the BJP Govt whether it meant "deaths" of teachers by a "permanent solution"?

Noteworthy, BJP in its Vision Document had promised about solution of 10323 teachers' livelihood ending their uncertain futuristic condition which was prevailing under the Left Govt since High Court and Supreme Court had terminated them spotting irregularity in recruitment. When CPI-M Govt managed to extend 10323 teachers job tenures under Supreme Court's permission on ad-hoc base, it also managed 12000 posts in non-teaching posts for the terminated teachers, which was challenged in Supreme Court on that time but BJP assured a permanent solution to the matter saying, CPI-M is fooling the 10323 teachers with fake recruitment. After BJP came in power, by that time, Supreme Court also withdrew the stay order on those 12000 non-teaching posts' recruitment but amid opposition CPI-M's pressures also, BJP Govt did not recruit the 10323 teachers in those posts saying, those posts are lapsed. Then it appealed in Supreme Court to appoint 10323 teachers in Group-C and Group-D posts at the last moment of teachers were meeting deadline of ad-hoc tenure ending but even after final verdict on August 5, no decision has been taken and Govt says that there are confusions in the verdict and it is not sure whether it can recruit the teachers in Group-C or Group-D posts now.

In reality, 10323 Teachers are now Jobless for 6 months.

By this time around 70 teachers died causing huge financial problems to the families and many died out of hyper tension. Reacting over it, Gopal Roy today has  sought an immediate solution to the problem of 10323 teachers.

The Congress leader further commented on the online class system, asking the State Govt to provide all facilities to students before continuing it and to ensure power, internet facilities at the same time.
