AGARTALA, Sep 9 (TIWN): On Wednesday while addressing media, Addl. SDM, Sadar informed that officially total 7 lakhs 80 thousand rupees has been collected from the social distance violators as penalty. Yet, people are not obeying the social distance norms properly.
He said, "We have seen people roaming in markets without mask or proper face covers. And even gathering infront of parks and shops. Such negligence can lead the situation to get worsen further. Our enforcement against that will be continued in upcoming days also."
Rupees 200 is to pay for not wearing mask for the first time and rupees 400 will be the amount if the mistake is repeated again.
However, negligence from the officials also reported as fine receipts are seen issued without the signature of the incharge official.
