AGARTALA, Sep 6 (TIWN): Control market values of the daily used commodities, specially raw food items are yet a dream for Northeast state Tripura and the consumers rights are every time, in every markets are violated. In such a move, when Sadar administration tried to fix market rates of the commodities, the businessmen including dome of the Bazar committee members started heavy arguments with the officials of West District. They pointed, why is the administration not focusing on the main issues ? What about illegal systems which are needed to be paid off from Churaibari gate ? Why in the main fault, administration is not focusing. There were also arguments about imported items' charges and various excused from the sellers.
Talking to media, DCM Animesh Dhar said, “In lockdown period, a sudden market price-hike was reported and now again same is happening. For example, old items and new items, white onions and red-onions are of different rates but the shopkeepers are not maintaining that. We have warned many shops and also pasted price-tags of items”.
However, how far businessmen will follow those prices listed by the administration it is to be seen now.
