Reportedly, the local villagers of Ompi block alleged that their sufferings have increased a lot in this rainy season as the local administration is not taking any step to renovate the crippled roads that had been constructed years ago. They also alleged that after complaining for many times, the present government is neither constructing any new roads nor they are repairing the old ones which are became hazardous to move. When the state government is not giving concentration over the rural communication development then the National agencies like NBCC also became inactive in their road maintenance project.

 

The NBCC company has failed to repair the roads in rural areas of Ompi nagar RD block and left the roads in deplorable condition since many days. Villagers said with dissatisfaction that throughout the years they faces problem while walking on the NBCC roads for their pathetic condition. All drivers face problem to drive vehicles on the damaged NBCC roads in Ompi nagar. Due to heavy rain the roads have become completely hazardous for the vehicles and pedestrians. Uncountable holes, uneven, heap of mud, damaged carpeting & side breakages are the main features of the NBCC roads now.

 

The Kaipeng villagers of that locality  have raised strong allegation against the NBCC authority for their less interest in repairing the crippled roads of Ompi nagar RD block. The project manager of the NBCC authority Ang Fro Mog does not have good connectivity with the local inhabitants of that area, alleged the locals. The vehicle drivers are afraid to take passengers as unexpected incidents can occur anytime on these roads.

 

However, after a lot of allegations been raised by locals, no proper action has been taken to repair the roads so far. The locals of Ompi nagar area demanded immediate restoration of the village roads to reduce their daily sufferings.
